Every day in the UK, 10 children and young people will receive the devastating news that they have cancer—a number that unfortunately continues to rise. This September, we are launching the Pebble Power campaign.
Much like a pebble taken on the ocean current, challenging knocks and jarring moments of pain and frustration are frequent and unavoidable. Your support can ensure that no family has to face this journey alone.
Momentum Children’s Charity currently supports more than 1600 children, siblings and their parents each year. Some of our inspiring families recently shared their experiences with us.
Painted pebbles hold special meaning for children supported by Momentum, in fact, we’ve given away more than 600! Organise a fun sip and paint party at home or at work this September, with a suggested donation to take part. Paint your own pebble or choose to paint on canvas or paper. The wonderful people at The Paint Club are organising special events throughout September to raise money for Momentum Children’s Charity. Simply add your donation at the checkout when you are purchasing your tickets online.
This September, celebrities including our ambassador, Tom Holland, Hollywood A-lister Zendaya, world-famous children’s Illustrators Axel Scheffler and Rob Biddulph, and TV personalities Kirsty Gallacher and Zoe Hardman have generously donated their time and skills to paint pebbles to us help shine a light on the support we provide for local families.
We will be showcasing their fantastic designs on socials throughout the month.
Our fundraisers help us to make an enormous difference to the lives of seriously ill children and their families. Every run, bake sale, quiz night and head shave means we can continue to be there for these families through the toughest of times.
Every month new children, siblings and parents join Momentum’s supported families. Families facing the reality of a child diagnosed with a serious illness. Our goal is simple: no family should cope alone. A regular donation of just £3 a month—less than 10p a day— might sound like a small change but it can make a big difference.
