A singing success
We were thrilled to be chosen as the charity beneficiary this year’s festival, which was marking its 31st year!
A local celebration of music, the festival encourages primary schools from across the borough to come together to perform their favourite songs on stage. Organised by The RC Sherriff Trust and Elmbridge Borough Council, the event ran across three evenings.
A total of 21 schools took part in the singing extravaganza which raised an impressive £2232 for Momentum through donations collected by our wonderful army of volunteers. A special THANK YOU to our brilliant volunteer, Andy, who did a great speech about Momentum on one of the evenings, telling members of the audience about our work in the local community.
Maria, our Schools Fundraiser, said: “What a feel-good celebration of music! It was fantastic to see what talented young choirs we have in the borough. We were delighted to be selected as the chosen charity for this excellent event. Thank you to the RC Sherriff Trust, Elmbridge Council, and to all the schools involved.”
Money raised from the Elmbridge School Choirs Festival will help support families of seriously ill children, by providing support in hospital and at home.
