2024 kicks off with new partnership with Clandon Wood
Clandon Wood Nature Reserve and Natural Burial Ground has been helping local charities for a number of years, and chose to support Momentum after their Founder, Simon Ferrar, spotted our green river boat moored at Shepperton Marina.
Fundraising events include a well-being day at Clandon Wood’s grounds in June, as well as donating profits from ticket sales from Sinatra at Sunset, which is part of the Guildford Fringe Festival. They have also set up a recycling scheme collecting unwanted electricals, jewellery and currency with Momentum benefitting from money raised from this initiative. They are hoping to raise £5000 for Momentum by the end of this year.
Talking about the partnership, Clandon Wood Founder, Simon Ferrar said:
“We support a different charity every year and were looking for a cause that aligns with Clandon Wood and what our purpose is. After seeing Momentum’s boat, I went away to find out a bit more about the organisation and soon became aware of the fantastic work they do locally. We are very proud to be partnering with Momentum.”
Victoria Futcher, Corporate Fundraiser at Momentum Children’s Charity said: “We are really pleased to be working with Clandon Wood – what a great start to 2024! It is wonderful when local businesses take an interest in our charity, recognising the impact we have on their community. We hope to see our supporters at some of the fundraising events later in the year. A huge thank you to Simon and the entire team at Clandon Wood – we are looking forward to the year ahead.”
