Annual boxing event packs a punch
The annual event at De Vere’s Grand Connaught Rooms was attended by more than 200 generous individuals who purchased tickets and took part in a fabulous auction on the night. Momentum was one of six benefitting charities at the event which raised thousands of pounds.
House-building company, Berkeley St Edward, part of the Berkeley Group, have been supporting Momentum for nearly seven years, and to date they have raised almost £400,000 for us – incredible!
Nina Gopal, Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Momentum Children’s Charity said: “Countless hours of planning and preparation go into arranging an event of this scale, and it was humbling to see so many generous individuals all together in one room, raising money for causes close to their hearts. This year’s event was particularly poignant, as it remembered the wonderful Danny Ellis from Berkeley Group, who sadly passed away last year. Danny was the mastermind behind this hugely successful boxing event, which has become a well-established date in their fundraising calendar.”
Money raised from the boxing event will help Momentum to be there to support more families in Surrey, Sussex and London, who have a child with cancer or another life-challenging diagnosis.
Staff at Berkeley St Edward really do go beyond expectation – they arrange their own unique fundraising challenges and also dedicate countless hours to volunteering for Momentum.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone at Berkeley St Edward for your continued support, we are very proud to have you as a partner.
