Celebrating Berkeley St Edward’s colossal fundraising efforts.
Staff at the house-building company, Berkeley St Edward, have reached an incredible milestone in their fundraising efforts for Momentum. They first started supporting us six years ago, and since then, they have raised an incredible £354,000 to help us support families with seriously ill children. More than £62,000 of that sum was generated in the past year alone! Every single penny of the money raised for us has come from fundraising activities planned and executed by staff at the company. A mixture of unique and exciting events last year included exhilarating activities like clay pigeon shooting and boxing tournaments, and more endurance-driven challenges like sailing regattas and cycling events. A number of staff from Berkeley St Edward participated in the London Marathon lacing up their running shoes to embark on the 26.2-mile course across the Capital. They also took to the concourse of one of the UK’s busiest train stations, London Waterloo, raising awareness of Momentum and encouraging commuters to make a donation to the charity through their bucket collections. One member of staff went the extra mile, dressing up as the charity’s mascot, Mo the owl.
Their dedication goes well beyond just fundraising, as a team of volunteers from Berkeley St Edward headed to our office generously armed with more than 400 advent calendars for Momentum families to enjoy last December. The volunteers meticulously packaged each one, covering the cost of postage and packaging.
A huge thank you to everyone at Berkeley St Edward for their commitment and on-going support – we look forward to continuing our partnership!
