Chris McCausland tops the bill as charity comedy night is set to bring plenty of laughs
Celebrated stand-up comedian, Chris McCausland, is headlining a night of entertainment in aid of Momentum Children’s Charity.
Regular panellist on Mock the Week and The Last Leg, Chris McCausland, has just completed a sell-out 140 date tour. He is donating his time to the charity event taking place on Wednesday 8 November at The Arthur Cotterell Theatre in Kingston.
Scottish comedian, Writer and Taskmaster favourite, Fern Brady is also joining the line up, and the event is being compared by the hilarious Erich McElroy. The night promises plenty of laughs, with surprise special guests yet to be announced.
Talking about why he is supporting the event, Chris McCausland said: “I’m really looking forward to being part of this special show for Momentum. It is going to be a great night of comedy, with good friends, all supporting a local charity that does such incredible work for children and their families. Grab your tickets now, but please know that there will be no refunds for anyone who doesn’t find us funny – this is all in the name of charity after all!”
Momentum Children’s Charity supports families across London, Surrey and Sussex whose children are facing cancer or a life-challenging condition. The charity partners with local hospitals to offer personally tailored support to the entire family through their family support workers, both in hospital and at home.
Bianca Effemey OBE, Founder and CEO of Momentum Children’s Charity said: “Wow – what a line up for our Comedy Night! I know Chris, Fern, and Erich will have everyone howling with laughter from the outset. As the winter nights draw in, this will be a fun way for people to relax and let their hair down, while raising money for Momentum at the same time. A massive thank you in advance to Chris, Fern and Erich for donating their time, and to Kingston College for their letting us use their wonderful theatre. We are so very grateful to have so many wonderful individuals and organisations in our local community who come together to fundraise for Momentum – it is thanks to them that we are able to continue delivering our services to families with seriously ill children.”

Notes to Editors:
Momentum Children’s Charity supports families across London, Surrey and Sussex whose children are facing cancer or a life-challenging condition. We partner with local hospitals to offer personally tailored support to the entire family through our family support workers, both in hospital and at home. Our services include counselling, creative therapies, special experiences and respite breaks. We also improve the environment for children treated in hospital with our children’s ward refurbishments, transforming bare, clinical areas into bright, child-friendly spaces. The charity receives no government funding and is reliant entirely on voluntary support.
