Mo the owl visits families in isolation
- Family trips and experiences
Momentum Children’s Charity, who support children with cancer and life-challenging conditions, enlisted the help of their mascot ‘Mo the owl’ to put smiles on the faces of local families who are currently shielding at home.
This is an incredibly difficult time for the families we support. Day-to-day life is tough enough when your child has cancer or a serious illness, but coronavirus is adding even more fear and anxiety for already vulnerable families, and many are having to isolate from their own family members. We wanted to do what we could during lockdown to bring a little light back to these difficult times.

For 3-year-old Madina, who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer, the surprise visit from Mo was a welcome distraction Mum Asmaa said “thank you so much to Momentum for the visit, it was such a nice surprise for Madina and her brother. I’m so grateful for all they do”
The charity is rapidly adapting their support services in response of the pandemic, but they are facing a 50% loss of income this year. To help them continue to support children with cancer and life-challenging conditions please support their coronavirus crisis appeal.
