Our Big Give Christmas Challenge ended on a high
- Hospital partnerships
We’ve been blown away with the amazing response to our Big Give Christmas Challenge Appeal, and are so thankful to each and every person who donated, shared the campaign and contributed in the week long appeal. Special thanks also to our match funder, and loyal supporter, Manulife as well as our Big Give Champion The Reed Foundation.
Together, the individual donations you’ve raised and matched funds you’ve kindly pledged, will make a BIG difference.
The challenge was taken on to raise funds for our hospital projects; where we work with our partner hospitals to identify ways we can help to improve the healing environments for young patients and their families there. We’d like to say we then wave our magic wand and transform bare and clinical to bright and child friendly however, the reality is, that these projects need big funding behind them to bring them to life.
Which is why The Big Give Christmas Challenge was so important to us and which is why every single person who donated, will be playing their part in helping us to make a difference to thousands of young patients and visitors to hospital.
We’re thrilled to say that the funds raised from last year’s Big Give Challenge are currently being put to good use at Kingston Hospital’s Children’s Outpatients Department, with a brand new refurbishment underway.
For this year’s funds, we’re hoping to transform treatment rooms at two of our partner hospitals; treatment rooms where wall art and friendly faces can help children better cope with invasive procedures, ultimately creating more positive experiences of their time in hospital…which we can all agree, is priceless.
Thank you and wishing you all a very merry Christmas
