Runners prepare to pound the pavements

18 men and women are running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for the charity, joining more than 20,000 others in the only half marathon to go through both the City of London and the City of Westminster.
Collectively, our team of runners have raised nearly £7,000 and this total is rising daily.
Katie Morris, from Rochester, Kent is raising money for Momentum after the charity supported her cousin Alice through her cancer treatment. Katie said: “Alice had cancer when she was 12 years old. She was so strong and amazing throughout her treatment – I remember the beautiful paintings she did during her chemotherapy. We will never forget the support Momentum gave the family during such a difficult time. They provided emotional support, practical and financial help and Alice stayed in Momentum’s respite cabins with her brother and parents. Alice is now 17 and doing really well – she is studying Art at college. After months of training, I am looking forward to Sunday’s event! So far, I have raised £480 but I would love to raise even more to help other families with unwell children.”
The first London Landmarks Half Marathon was in 2018, and since then, the event has raised more than £50 million for good causes.
