The brilliant Tom Holland, aka Spider-Man, and Ambassador for Momentum Children’s Charity, completed a secret mission at the weekend, treating some of our supported families to an exclusive screening of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The special event was organised by The Brothers Trust, a charity set up by Tom’s parents, Nikki and Dom Holland, to help smaller organisations like Momentum. The Brothers Trust have been generously supporting us for many years, and as well as organising and attending numerous events, they have also granted funds to help us run our services.

Ten families who are supported by Momentum attended the event at the impressive cinema at Battersea Power Station, where they enjoyed watching Tom Holland in his 2021 smash hit superhero film. As well as watching the exciting action-packed film, Tom Holland generously spent time having photos with families and answering questions from everyone in attendance. Delicious goody bags were provided by Marks and Spencer for guests to tuck in to while they watched the film.

One family who attended said: “My eldest son and niece were absolutely buzzing, and it was so lovely to see them excited and chatting again. It was a very special event and got us into London without it being an issue. The attention to detail and goody bags were amazing. Tom and his family were funny, kind and thoughtful. Loved seeing his dog too.”

Another family added: “It really gave my son a boost in amongst his treatment. It was a very well organised event.”

A massive thank you to Tom Holland and The Brothers Trust for inviting some of our supported families to be part of this wonderful event – we are sure it felt like Christmas had come early!
