Meet our hospital ambassador at St Peter’s

Our hospital ambassadors’ scheme runs across our partner hospitals. The purpose of this voluntary role, which is taken on by staff members at the hospitals, is to raise awareness about the partnership with us and highlight Momentum’s work in their hospital and local community.

Shining a light on our hospital ambassadors

As many of our supporters know, we are partnered with nine NHS Hospitals across London, Surrey and Sussex. The purpose of these partnerships is to make experiences as positive as possible for families who have a child with cancer or a life-challenging condition, which can mean that they will spending a significant amount of time there.

Living with an extremely rare type of cancer
- 28th February 2024
Priscilla-Rose, 3, from Tadley, Hampshire, was diagnosed with Juvenile myelomonocytic leukaemia (JMML) after a long 17 months of mis-diagnosis and lengthy waits for treatment. This extremely rare type of cancer accounts for only 1% of childhood leukaemia’s worldwide. Priscilla-Rose’s mum, Allena, shares her story:

Marking two years of supporting families at Worthing Hospital

Momentum Children’s Charity is marking two years since it started working in partnership with Worthing Hospital to support families who have a child receiving treatment for cancer or another life-challenging condition. With NHS budgets stretched to the maximum, Momentum is filling a gap by providing emotional and practical support to families at a time when it is desperately needed.

We celebrated the Jubilee with the Bentalls Centre in Kingston, making bunting which we then delivered to Kingston Hospital to cheer up children and families unable to get out over the bank holiday.
