Star making with special mums
Two of our supporters, Gavin and Helen, very kindly opened their beautiful home in Worcester Park to host the evening which was attended by 10 mums.
Each mum had a crafting station equipped with cutting board, scalpel and ruler, which was generously donated by Gavin and Helen. Helpful tips and guidance was provided by Gavin and Helen as the group crafted their beautiful stars.
Alongside careful focus, a glass of prosecco and some nibbles, the warm, safe, private space allowed conversation to flow between the group.
Everyone who attended the event was able to take the equipment they’d used home with them, along with a beautiful wooden star container to keep their stars in (and any future stars they might make).
One mum who was part of the event said: “Thank you for yesterday evening, it was really lovely to connect with other mums and do something crafty in a beautiful house. Please pass on my thanks to the lovely couple who hosted us.”
Another mum added: “A huge thank you for yesterday – really lovely. I had lost track of time. Lovely, beautiful people and lovely craft – lovely ladies who came to the event.”
A huge thank you to Helen and Gavin for their kindness in hosting this special evening.
